Welcome Aboard

Freshmen and sophomores are often thought of as the forgotten generation, for they’re already in high school and presumably aware of the consequences of achieving (or not achieving) their best in the classroom, committing themselves deeply in a few activities outside the classroom, and developing relationships with the adults in their lives in order to prepare themselves for the college admission process.  Since this is seldom the scenario with freshmen and sophomores, Seay Educational Consulting’s plan for them is to:

  • Review academic records
  • Assess learning styles / personality / interests / study skills
  • Discuss the successful high school plan and how to make high school a successful endeavor
  • Advise on high school course offerings
  • Develop a plan for standardized testing
  • Discuss extracurricular & co-curricular involvement, including summer activities
  • Discuss college fit using College Choice 101
